For a flawless, long-lasting look.
To help your makeup last beautifully and look its best, here’s how to prep your skin before your appointment:
48 Hours Before
- Avoid any new treatments or skincare products.
No facials, waxing, new skincare, or anything your skin isn’t already used to. This helps prevent unexpected irritation or reactions.
The Night Before
- Gently exfoliate your skin and lips to remove dry, dead skin using a mild exfoliant. A warm, damp washcloth works great for this—just be gentle.
- Deeply moisturize your face and lips to ensure a smooth, hydrated canvas. Hydrated skin = smoother makeup application.
- Drink plenty of water to keep your skin glowing and plump.
The Day Of
- Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Double-cleanse your face, especially your eyes to remove all old mascara and eyeliner.
- No moisturizer, SPF, or serums. I’ll prep your skin with the right products.
- No SPF, please—it can affect makeup performance and flash photography.
- Wear a button-up or off-the-shoulder top to avoid disturbing your hair or makeup.
- Bring inspiration photos, ideally from my Instagram or Pinterest, so I can tailor the look to your style.
Extra Tips
- Avoid alcohol and salty foods the night before to help minimize puffiness.
- If you’re getting a spray tan, schedule it at least 3 days before, and skip tanning the face.
- Groom brows 1-2 days before your appointment, if desired. Any waxing should be done at least 3 days before your appointment.
- Relax and trust the process—you’re in good hands and we’ll create something beautiful together!
